About The Goal Atlas
An independent labour of love for the history of the World Cup.
The Goal Atlas is an interactive archive of every FIFA World Cup since 1930 — every tournament, match, team, player, and goal, organised so you can move from a final scoreline down to a single goal and back out to a player's whole career in a few clicks. Where an official or public highlight exists, we link to it and mark the moment in the match timeline, so you can jump straight to the play rather than scrubbing through a full replay.
The project is built and maintained by a single football supporter, independently and in spare time. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to FIFA or any football federation. All trademarks, footage, and media belong to their respective owners; we host no video ourselves and link only to material already published by its rights holders.
Where the data comes from
Match results, line-ups, goals, and squads are built on open, publicly available World Cup datasets, then cleaned, cross-checked, and enriched by hand — adding goal timelines, video links, player biographies, and the all-time records and leaderboards you won't find pre-assembled anywhere else. Mistakes are inevitable across a century of football; if you spot one, please tell us.
How the site is funded
The Goal Atlas is free to use and supported by advertising and by readers. Running the site costs money, and ads help keep it online and growing. If you'd rather support it directly, you can buy a coffee on Ko-fi. How we handle advertising and your data is set out in our Privacy Policy.
